NO PAN IS COMPLETE WITHOUT IT COOKS FOOD BETTER WITH EVEN HEAT THROUGH OUT AND PREVENTS SPLATTER.

Be sure you have the 12-inch Lodge Logic skillet, and not the 12-inch Lodge PRO Logic skillet! This lid might fit the former, but it sure doesn't fit the 12-inch Pro Logic. The lid for that one is, as I write this (7/1/2010), not available from Amazon.
It is a nice lid, though. I like the little spikes that wick moisture back into the food.

Nancee J. Swartz. This lodge logic 12-inch iron cover is a product that can be used as a cast iron skillet for cooking and as an accessory for cast iron cookware. A definite addition to the kitchen.

I was fortunate to get an old cast iron #10 pan at a local thrift store for $4.00. (I checked Ebay and found out the brand and size I got was going for more than $200!) I love cooking with well-seasoned cast iron. It's difficult to find an old one with a cover, so being able to get a new cover on-line is great. The cover isn't as important as the pan itself as far as the cooking is concerned. So, for $30, I got a very good deal.

Bought this for my 12 inch cast iron skillet. After making 40 garlic chicken with the lid on, it was the tenderest chicken breast I've had in a long time. Lid was a nice tight fit that helped keep all the moisture in the chicken instead of in the air.
A must buy for anyone with the Lodge 12 inch skillet.
