| Customer Reviews: The same product cost 50% lots of other places May 21, 2010 Eleanor Wang (El Cerrito, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Amazon is usually on the cheper side on many items. I ordered these without looking into the prices. Soon I found out, there are twice as expensive compared with other places. :(
Canning jars: perfect for dried foods March 12, 2010 Hazel Watson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to do a lot of canning. Now that I've discovered dehydration, it has become my favorite way to preserve food. I've also discovered that canning jars with sealable lids are the best way to store dried foods. Dried foods look as beautiful in clear jars as canned foods, but you can get a whole lot more food into a single jar when it's dehydrated! The wide mouths make it very easy to fill them. Would I recommend Ball Wide Mouth Jars? You bet! Some of mine have been in use for years longer than I care to remember! The reason I buy new is that I give away much of what I put in them, and alas, never seem to get the jars back!! I guess others like them, too!
Make Your Protein Shake January 21, 2010 DawnLovesShoes (Palm Harbor, FL) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I use these jars with a hand blender to make fabulous protein shakes. Since twelve of them come in the pack, I have found uses for the extra jars like storing coconut milk and soup. Does anyone know if you can put these in the freezer? Great product, highly recommend. Gets rid of the plastic.
Does the job October 28, 2009 Nick (Rockford IL) Quality jars, lids fit nicely, with nice rubber seals on the bottom. All in all a good buy for a quality product.
What were they thinking? May 24, 2009 Bernice (Idaho) 17 out of 25 found this review helpful
I have been pricing these online since I plan to buy about 100 this summer. I looked all over. I have found them as low as $1.04 per bottle shipped to my home in the rocky mountains, USA. Now, if you notice the price of this item and the outrageous shipping cost, I think you will find that it is a bit high! If you keep searching through Amazon, you will find other vendors carrying the same product for lots less and lots less shipping!!!
Is Amazon even a store anymore, or a shopping mall for other stores? Andy why does this item come up early in my search and I have to go through 7 or 8 pages of canning items to find the identical item priced so much lower? Is this seller paying Amazon to be listed first?
What is this about anymore?
So, happy canning all of you. And I know this tells nothing about the item.
Okay, about the item.
Good bottles. Top quality. Consistent useablity from year to year. I have canned 1000's of quarts and I do it ALL in wide mouth bottles now just because it is so much easier for me to work with. I am lazy that way. Also, it beats having to have 2 sizes of rings and lids in the house. One size fits everything in my house!
These are great jars and also look at Goodman's online. They seem to have low shipping prices and low prices. Good luck!
