| Customer Reviews: great so far August 30, 2010 The Literary Assassin (Kansas City, MO United States) Man, these reviews scare me. I got this pan via a special deal from a high-end kitchen retailer; it came with a lid at a better price than is listed here. My old nonstick pan was 10 years old and just starting to peel (it was a cheapish department store brand, but very serviceable)--obviously I'm not hard on my pans. I have a few other All-Clad pieces I love so I took the plunge.
So far, I love this thing. It's a sacred cow in my kitchen--to be used only for eggs and gravy, and only with the wooden utensils. We don't have a dishwasher so it gets washed by hand and hung up to dry. It heats beautifully. Nothing sticks to it. It's easy to clean. And of course, I got that lid. But the reports of it developing a film and starting to stick make me wonder.
I only gave it four stars because a quality product shouldn't get this kind of feedback. I'm just sayin'.
Awful warranty and poor customer service June 24, 2010 Manoj Khiani (San Jose, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This pan is great when new. However, when you spend $125 on a pan, you expect to use it for a long time. Unfortunately, after a year or so, this pan started to develop a sticky film that compromised the non-stick cooking surface. All-Clad refused to exchange the pan for a new one, despite the fact that we followed their instructions with respect to heat and cleaning.
Bottom line is that you should stick with all-clad for stainless cookware. For non-stick, go with a cheaper alternative that you don't mind replacing every couple of years because All-Clad will not stand by their product.
All-Clad nonstick STICKS!!! June 2, 2010 Sue (Picayune, MS United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I own 8", 10" and 12" All-Clad LTD fry pans and all three stick BADLY. I tried All-Clad's website recommended cleaning technique of baking soda, etc. Nothing worked. After three months of trying to clean them I sent two of them back to All-Clad who claimed the problem was my fault because I exposed them to high heat which is NOT true - never used them except on low to medium heat. I called their consumer satisfaction organization which was just a parrot response - just telling me over and over what their policy said. I will never buy another All-Clad nonstick product nor will I ever call their consumer satisfaction organization - an oxymoran name!
peeling May 17, 2010 Sophie 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have several all-clad pots and pans, as well as other manufacturers, and except for the non-stick, all-clad is by far my favorite.
But the non-stick...it's peeling, and the pan is only a few years old (three? four?). We use it mostly for grilled cheese, pancakes, and sauteing - nothing unusual, and no extremely high temps. It gets hand washed with only gentle cloths, and lovingly wiped dry. All to no avail. I'll never buy another expensive non-stick pan. Cheap ones that won't break my heart is the way I'm going from now on!
Better than expected March 31, 2010 Motik K (Los Angeles CA) I cooked hamburger first day I purchased all-clad fry pan and was surprized that fry pan can make so much different test. I like it very much but one problem this fry pan should sell with lid. Otherwise, is good to have it.
