Great. Not as bright green as in the picture though. September 4, 2010

This steamer is great. It's so easy to use and clean. It looks great too. I just put a 11 inch plate under it, then I can use it to serve food on the table.
The only thing is the green color isn't as bright and light as in the picture. It's more like a dull, grass-like green. If I knew it, I'd order a red one.

I bought this item after reading the reviews for several different kinds of steamers. This little steamer gadget steams vegetables very nicely. It fits into both skillets and pots. Just add about an inch of water underneath it, place the veggies on top, and cover the skillet or pot with a lid. In about 10 - 20 minutes (depending on which vegetable you are steaming) you will have fresh, delicious cooked vegetables. The little tabs on the side help to lift it out of the skillet without burning your fingers. Clean up is fast and easy. There is no need to worry about residue left behind to taint the next batch of vegetables. If you want to try steaming vegetables, this is a good product to buy for easy of use and low cost.

I bought this so that I could put away my big Revere Ware steamer. This small steamer is a nice improvement. It takes up virtually no space on my hanging pot rack -- I just let it share a hook with another pot. While the old steamer has a much larger capacity, this one is a good size for one or two people, and it's a lot easier to clean.
I like the little handles -- they can easily be tucked under the pot lid if a tight seal is desired. If you want ventilation, you can let one or both of them hang out of the lid.
The legs are only about 1/2" long. I wish they were just a touch longer, or that the designer had taken some other approach to propping up the steamer. The short legs mean that you can only have about 1/4" of water in the pot, which boils off after just a few minutes of brisk boiling. My red steamer has a bit of blackish discoloration from being run dry a couple of times, but it hasn't lost its shape or flexibility.

This is an indispensable product in my kitchen. Despite others making an issue of having difficulty getting it out of the pan, I've had no problems at all.
